Statement – Highfield Parish Council

As part of the Community Governance Review, residents of Highfield will be asked if they support the establishment of a new Highfield Parish Council.

Highfield Park Trust provides a diverse rural park for St. Albans at no expense to its taxpayers.

The Trust does not comment on local politics and our position is that we will work with any elected body while retaining our full and complete independence.

The outcome of this vote has no bearing on the future of Highfield Park Trust; with or without a new Highfield Parish Council we are in a strong position.

We will celebrate our 30th anniversary next year and are well positioned for the future with another 120 years on our lease.

Tim Abbott,

Chair of Trustees, on behalf of the Trustee Board.
