Natural Playground update

You may remember at the beginning of last year as part of our 25th Anniversary vision, we asked people if they would like to donate to create a Natural Play Area in the Park.

We would like to thank everyone who donated and we raised

£1100 through our Facebook post

£1300 through workplace donations where people use their company scheme to make a donation to a charity

This gives us £2400 for our Natural Play Area.

Thanks to the Money raised from the St Albans Cathedral Firework Display, of which Highfield Park Trust was one of the beneficiaries we are able to round this number up to £10,000.

To give you transparency of how that money will be spent.

Our first step is a survey of the site £750 We have chosen a wobbly bridge, humpback steps , balance beams and stepping stones taking us to a value of £3900, we then cover the costs of installation £4200, £450 for carriage costs and £400 on a post implementation check of the site.

Wwe are planning next to the Village green near the two chain saw little seats we have installed, our plan is for the equipment to weave through the trees and bushes but we will confirm after the survey

We will keep you informed of progress but again thanks to everyone who supported us in our 25th Anniversary Year.
