Photographic Walk

On Sunday 3rd September, Highfield Park Trust hosted its first Photographic Walk, led by Trustee and keen photographer, Austin Guest.

There was a wide range of ages and equipment in the group and they passed two hours gently touring both the Hill End and Cell Barnes sides of the park. The locations included the orchards, tree trail, herb garden, maze, Mediterranean and rose gardens, and the pond. These provided multiple photo opportunities from landscape to close-up, with much sharing of compositions and advice. In addition, several “art rocks” were found, photographed and re-hidden!

Some of the pictures taken will be displayed at the Trust’s Apple Day event on Sunday 8th October. We will aim to host a similar walk in the spring, to include the bluebell woods.
