Many of you responded to the temporary loss of Freddie the Fox in the Park recently ( we are incredibly pleased to have him back, he is having his final coating of protective oil before being placed back in the park very soon)
When we thought we were not going to get him back we made contact with a chainsaw sculptor to source a replacement.
Thanks to donations by
Kevin and Pauline Barnes ( and Ted the dog)
Dreda Gordon County Councillor from her locality budget
St Albans City tour guides (who gave us a donation last year after our apples were stolen)
We have been able to purchase three new sculptures for Highfield Park.
Three clues in the pictures attached.
They will be installed by the end of September, we will let you know when they are installed and maybe give you a clue to where, but we think the best way to find them is to stumble across them on your walks in Highfield.
If we had funds the chain saw sculptor has said he would come and create a piece and here are two possible candidates in the middle of the picture.
We would need £500 to make this possible so for the first time we have added a donate button our facebook page Highfield Park Trust , if you would like to make a donation to make this happen then we would welcome it, if you can’t due to these difficult times then please continue to enjoy Highfield and the three sculptures that the people and organisations above have made possible.
If we do not raise enough funds then what we do raise will be used for our revamp of our wildlife area ( future post will reveal all)
