Forest Schools
This is a fantastic opportunity to join us on an adventure into the world of Forest School, with our family focused sessions that run throughout the year. We will be exploring the park, building dens, going on bug hunts, learning about nature, bush craft, and more. The event is run in conjunction with CultureWood, who are a specialist and highly regarded service provider in Hertfordshire.
Please note that if it is raining, Forest School activities will continue so come prepared with a waterproof and wear suitable clothing for exploring the woods. It could also be muddy, so please wear wellies, trainers or other appropriate outdoor shoes (but no sandals). Please also ensure that legs are covered (no shorts).
Morning sessions will start at 10am and afternoon sessions at 1pm. Each session lasts two hours. All children must be accompanied by a guardian or parent. Sessions are suitable for ages 4 to 11 and all equipment is provided.
The Forest School will be based from the Highfield Pavilion, which is situated in the Cricket Ground with the park and has toilets and hand washing facilities. There is also plenty of free car parking on site.
To reach the Pavilion you will need to use the track that runs from Highfield Lane. The track entrance is located at – Grid reference: TL17510624 and what3words: useful.cave.lake.

Your Forest School leader will be Tanya, who is a professional Forest School leader, DBS checked and an outdoor first aider. The event is fully insured and a health and safety talk will be given at the beginning of each session.
