Forest School comes to Highfield

A fantastic opportunity to join us on our adventure into the world of Forest School, with our NEW family focused sessions this summer. We will be exploring the park, building dens, going on bug hunts, learning about nature and bushcraft, and more. All sessions led by a qualified Forest School Leader.

We have been working with local schools to fill the majority of places, which have been funded by Hertfordshire County Council and Communities 1st.

It was always intended that a limited number of places would be available to the local community. These places are now on sale, but availability is limited. Each 2 hour session costs £2, which covers the online booking fee. More places could come on sale during the next week, as we hear back from the remaining schools. Aimed at children aged between 5 and 11.

Please note that a parent or guardian must remain with the participating child or children throughout the session.

The Forest School will be based from the Highfield Pavilion, which is situated in the Cricket Ground and has toilets and hand washing facilities. If it is raining the activities will still continue so please bring a waterproof and wear suitable clothing for exploring the woods. It could be muddy, so please wear trainers, wellies or other outdoor shoes (but no sandals). Also, please ensure legs are covered (no shorts). The event is fully insured and a health and safety talk will be given at the beginning of each session.

We hope you have a fantastic time in Highfield Park.
